April 22-23: Inaugural AGM of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network, a Success!

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is a program of Canada's universities, recently-incorporated as a not-for-profit organization to continue the work of the Canadian National Site Licensing Project (CNSLP).  CRKN held its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM), April 22-23, 2004, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Toronto. [Invitation] The well-attended AGM provided an opportunity for existing members of CNSLP and prospective members of CRKN to review and celebrate accomplishments, explore issues and challenges, participate in decision-making, and provide direction to CRKN's new Board of Directors.

Distinguished members of the Canadian research community joined with CRKN members to celebrate the successful impact of the CNSLP on research innovation in Canada, and to discuss the challenges ahead for the Canadian Research Knowledge Network.
